THE MOST VERSATILE ADVENTURE TRAILER IN THE WORLD.
MADE IN THE USA
The EDC is engineered, manufactured, assembled, and field tested in the USA, and we have done our very best to source all of the materials, subsystems, and assembly products responsibly. We pay particular attention to the engineering, manufacture, and assembly origins of every component we use because we take our commitment to supporting USA manufacturing very seriously. Rest assured – the EDC is American Made through and through.
The detailed spec sheet provides the most accurate information about the components and subsystems of the EDC. On the spec sheet you'll find a link to the COMPONENTS manufactures' websites so that you can get all of the details about any of the EDC subsystems, along with a list of where each subsystem was manufactured.
Everything about our approach gives you confidence. The EDC camper trailer is engineered and assembled to go the distance. It’s made using exacting assembly techniques that are far superior to any other camper trailer. We use aviation and military specified materials, fasteners and adhesives throughout. And our field testing is second to none. That's why the EDC comes with the strongest warranty out there - TEN years on the chassis and FIVE YEARS on the body. We fully expect that your EDC camper trailer will last for decades.
The EDC is the only expedition camping trailer with insulated door panels, heat trace and heat pads on all plumbing. This means you can go confidently into many climates knowing that you're protected against the elements.
The EDC Expedition Trailer houses the best of the best. All major components and subsystems of the EDC are USA made. All of the appliances and electronics have been marine tested.
The chassis is tube steel, welded and then hot-dipped galvanized as a unit. The aluminum body is assembled using aviation assembly techniques. All fasteners are grade 8, mil spec, or marine rated, and where applicable, skins and panels are assembled using 3M industrial UV resistant sealants and adhesives. Because of the EDC’s unique design that includes insulated exterior skins and water supply systems protected by 12V heat trace and heat pads – features not found on any other trailer in its class – the EDC can withstand freezing temperatures as well as hot desert climes.
The trailer comes with a tent rack, sub rack, and 270 degree wrap around awning. The EDC does not come with a roof top tent. There are so many to choose from in the marketplace and we would be happy to help you choose which ones might be best for your camping lifestyle, family size, etc. If you prefer to source your own tent, the rack is designed to accommodate all 2018-2019 tent sizes and preferences. Roof Top Tents (RTT) are typically installed on the passenger side, while the generous 270 degree awning covers the galley on the driver's side as well as the rear storage. The Alu-Cab awning also has side enclosures, available as an optional purchase.
The rear bumper has three full-strength hitch receivers for tow points, bike racks, extra storage racks, or to receive a rear-mounted jack for leveling the trailer or to change a tire. The front towing arm is removable. This shortens the trailer by 3 feet and makes it easy to store in a garage and removes that potential for a shin bonk at the campsite.
The water system includes an onboard filtration system and a marine grade NSF 20 gallon water tank, which means you can pull water directly from a stream or lake and use it immediately for drinking or hot showers. In situations where clean water is available, the EDC can be ‘street connected,’ bypassing the tank and filtration system completely.

...as big as the great outdoors.
The wrap-around galley puts everything you need to cook a great meal within arm’s reach. At the heart of the design are incredibly strong and solid sliding drawers with lock-in/lock-out levers, each with a 200 pound capacity so you can bring everything you need and to be set up in minutes. The EDC’s power distribution panel is built by Blue Sea Systems specifically for Overland Access to stand up to the tough environments we expect our expedition trailers to encounter. The panel sits at the center of the galley, where you’ll find all of the switches for operations of lights, 12V DC outlets, 120V AC outlets, refrigerator, water pump, and 'engine room' heating, a main battery disconnect switch, and the water tank gauge. Each switch/breaker is labeled with a backlit polycarbonate LED and an on/off indicator light. On the bottom of the panel you'll find a 12V DC socket, fast charge 4.8A USB charger, an SAE ZAMP solar panel connection plug, and a 120V AC outlet, along with a second 12V DC socket, and a fast charge 4.8A USB charger. 120V AC outlets are also located inside the rear storage area. Atop the panel is the Magnum Energy display. Here you can get information from the Magnum Energy pure sine wave 2000w inverter/charger.
The EDC’s Blue Sea Systems panel carries a Lifetime Warranty. It’s marine tested, built to withstand heavy vibration, and is designed to be fully operational in the harshest of conditions.

The rear storage compartment consists of two pullout drawers that can hold up to 200lbs, even when fully extended. The drawers lock-in and lock-out. Two large LED lights make it easy to find items at night. On the left, just inside the door, you'll find an AC outlet, a DC outlet, and two fast charge USB ports. The placement of the outlets and ports makes it easy to keep your electronics connected, even while the trailer is under tow. The insulated door also keeps your valuable electronics cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The pullout trays are completely removable to reveal the 'engine room' underneath. Slotted drawer rails make stowing easy with tie downs.
